Judy and Dwayne met at a Square Dance and their first date was to a Round Dance Class. Music has always been a part of their lives as Judy enjoys playing the piano and dulcimer and Dwayne is an avid Country Music Fan.

When Judy retired from Nursing she asked Russ & Wilma Collier, of Punta Gorda, to help her learn to choreograph some Round Dances. They helped her choreograph her first waltz Satan Can't Hold Me and encouraged her to cue. It took some encouragement to get her to try it, but once she learned the basics she loved it.

Dwayne and Judy definitely share the hobby of cueing as Dwayne took right to selecting the songs and managing the schedule. Both are constantly looking for that special song that will make a great song to choreograph.

They love to cue at square dances and prefer teaching to individual couples. They cue for several Square Dance Clubs and one Round Dance Club in the Port Charlotte/Ft. Myers area in the Winter months. In the Summer months, they return to Tennessee and cue at Clubs in the Knoxville area, as well as State Conventions in Tennessee and surrounding states. They are members of the Suncoast Callers and Cuers Association, West Coast Square and Round Dance Association, Round Dance Council of Florida and ROUNDALAB.

They both treasure the many friendships they've made through Square and Round Dancing and hope to make many more.
