In 2022, due to the lack of officers, the West Coast Square and Round Dancers Association
(WCSRDA) folded; however, the legal entity (the corporation) remained open. The legal entity
has a president, secretary, and treasurer. They provide financial assistance to maintain the
web hosting for the DANCERgram and other websites using the DANCERgram platform,
and to promote square dancing.
All the counties in the West Coast Area have not been reassigned to other Florida associations.
The area is now called the West Coast Area. Although there is not a representative from this area
to serve on the Florida Federation Board they are still part of the Federation. They are still able
to participate in the USDA Square Dance Insurance Program.
The "membership dances" formerly sponsored by the WCSRDA, have been assumed by the
Suncoast Callers and Cuers Association (SCCA). They schedule the locations, book the
callers and cuers, and produce flyers for advertising. Should there be a financial loss at
these dances the West Coast legal entity will reimburse the SCCA for the loss.
For historical information, this website is still being maintained by the last Association president.
